Bungalow Remodel

Our San Francisco client purchased an adorable bungalow that needed some personal touches. Our first problem to solve was the upstairs needed a bathroom so we decided to make an amazing master retreat complete with large master bathroom and wonderful bedroom. Lynne Parker Designs loves to imagine spaces with another purpose. We took a bedroom and converted it into a luxurious master bathroom. A large clawfoot tub was the wow factor painted black and nestled in a nook near the window. A custom vanity made use of space along the room’s edge. And the shower was creatively imagined with the bench under the roof line and the rest of the shower big enough for two. A large open space created an opportunity for a vintage vanity and a spacious feel. Luxurious finishes were used on marble floors and counter top. Sconces cut out of mirror optimized space and created an open feel. Chrome fixtures were classic and elegant. Downstairs we updated the space with a custom Kravet sofa in an amazing purple velvet – our client’s favorite color. These colors are complimented by the warm original fir wood floors of this lovely home. Ombre drapes by Stroheim flanked the large windows and plenty of elegant touches finished off the cozy living space. Large trays stacked with our clients collection of books and added LPD styling touches brought this wonderful living room to life. Styling continued downstairs in the finished basement. As always we love to add some pops of personality with amazing wallpapers and this house is no different – the master bedroom features grasscloth, the stairway has a great graphic paper and a fun Jonathan Adler Drip gold wallpaper brings a whimsical touch to the guest basement area. Now this Portland new comer is ready for guests and pampering for our client.
